You need to be in the same location as the previous step. To open it, however, you’ll need to go the extra mile explained in the next step. You will find the Log just next to a locked door that needs opening. Just follow your path all the way toward the safe point and then take a left. When you climb the higher floor you just need to walk for a bit until you reach the Mining Control room and pick up the log. You will need to use an elevator to get here first by picking up a cube box and placing it into the hole in the wall. You need to head to the Mining Extraction Area and you won’t have any obstacles. This is the location where you are able to find the Miner’s Log in Dead Space Remake 2. You need to literally pick all of them up and move them around to be able to get to the Log hidden behind them. It is here where you’ll see a lot of boxes stacked up on top of each other. At the end of the hallway, you’ll reach the Ore Storage room. Don’t forget to pick up the box and move it with you to block the lasers from the left to the right.
Now you need to take an elevator down and move through the hallways. Move the boxes with your power and you’ll notice the Node at the wall behind them. Just enter the door at the end of the hallway that has a lot of boxes around. You are able to find this Node at the very start of the chapter. With that being said, getting all the collectibles will be harder since there will be difficult enemies as well as traps that can damage you. In Chapter 7 you will have a whole arsenal of guns to use as well as powerful weapons.
